An Ibadan-based lawyer and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle FM, Otunba Kunle Kalejaiye (SAN) has awarded scholarships to twelve indigent students in primary and secondary school levels as well fetes 347 widows.
This is in commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of the radio station located at Ilese-Ijebu in Ogun state.
He also offered free eye check-ups, glasses, and general medical examinations as well as sponsored two free cataract surgeries.
Otunba Kalejaiye described the gesture as the station’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to its listeners nationwide.
He added that the management is sensitive to the plight of the people occasioned by the economic downturn hence its decision to impact the widows through the provision of food and other assistance.
Highlights of the celebration included a charity drive which was aimed at supporting underprivileged communities in the station’s broadcast area where listeners enthusiastically participated by donating funds and essential items, thus, demonstrating the impact that Eagle FM has beyond the airwaves.
Kalejaiye, thereby, appreciated the radio’s teeming listeners and customers for their unflinching support and commitment towards advancing the laudable objectives of the ‘Airwave Master’. In his words, “Eagle 102.5 FM will continue to revolutionize the broadcasting industry, pragmatically touching the lives of our listening audience beyond the airwaves”.
