IATV, IBR’s sister station to be launched in Ibadan Thursday

All is set for the official launching of an international television station in Ibadan on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

The television station, Impact Africa Television (IATV) is set to revolutionize  broadcasting landscape in the country.

IATV is owned by Metropolitan Broadcasting Services Limited, the operators of Impact Business Radio (IBR 92.5FM).

The launch which is slated for 10.00am will take place at Theophilus  Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital, Ibadan.

The station, which is located at Kolapo Isola Estate area, Akobo, Ibadan started transmission some months ago on Channel 181 on StarTimes bouquet with its coverage reach in Southwestern states.

Speaking on the vision behind the establishment of the media outfits, the founder of MBS Ltd, Deacon Owolabi Oladejo said the vision has been for a long while and is coming in phases.

Deacon Oladejo disclosed that the main aim was  to see how he could change the narrative,make impact in the world and improve the value system rather than complaining.

He said  he realised that the media is  strategic and a critical tool in development is communication.

He added that electronic media has the  potential to reach the widest, diverse audience, pointing out that: “What you hear often can change the way you think. The gateway to your heart is your ears.”

He noted that the whole thing  is the confirmation that the project is divine.

The sister station, which started  2015 has won many awards and  a leading station in southwest.

Owolabi, who is a fellow chartered accountant said foremost traditional rulers such as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Eniitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 1, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111, the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogunguniso 1, not fewer than two governors and other important dignitaries will grace the occasion.
