I won’t disappoint Buhari on new appointment ― Yemi-Esan

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan has called on civil servants to go beyond the call of duty in the discharge their duties in the ongoing efforts to transform the Service.

Yemi-Esan made this call when the top echelon of the Office of Head of Civil Service of the Federation received her to a rousing welcome on her first official day as Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

President Muhammadu Buhari confirmed the appointment of Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan as the substantive Head of Civil Service of the Federation on Friday, 28th February 2020. She has been on acting capacity since Thursday, 19th September 2019.

Director, Information, Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, in a statement on Monday in Abuja, urged the workers be more dedicated the Head of Service saying “God will give us the grace to carry out this enormous responsibility”.

Dr Yemi-Esan thanked God for the opportunity given to her to serve in the capacity, saying humility is the hallmark of success hence the need for cooperation from everybody. She, therefore, called on everybody to join hands with her and work as one family.

She affirmed that with the cooperation of everybody “we will not disappoint the President in the discharge of our duties and leave a lasting legacy for our children”
