Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has assured that if elected as the next Governor in Saturday’s election he will probe the present APC led administration in order to retrieve every misappropriated fund just as he will also within his first 100 days in office renovate all public primary schools in rural and urban areas across the state.
The gubernatorial candidate stated this at the Development Exchange Commission (DEC) in Bauchi, during the joint gubernatorial manifestos presentation organized by the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and some Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
Bala Mohammed lamented the deplorable condition of public schools in the state, saying that, “Our children are suffering, especially those at primary schools. They sit on the ground to learn” and stated that if elected, his administration will bring an end to the suffering of public schools by providing them with a conducive environment to teach and learn within his first 100 days in office.
He also stated that in addition to this, public school teachers will also enjoy under his administration as the administration will enhance teaching profession for better, apart from being paid their salary regularly just as he decried that appalling state of the health sector in the state, declaring that the sector has been neglected to the background in Bauchi State.
The poor state of health facilities in the state, according to him, has left women with no other option than to turn to and being at the mercy of traditional maternity service providers and declared that as of now, the state is backward and the people living in the dark, adding that the current government in the state has deceived the people a lot.
He said that “We are lIving in the dark. The people of Bauchi have been deceived by the present government,” this, he said, is clearly shown in the current abysmal state of infrastructure, education and health in the state.

The candidate, however, declared that if elected as the state governor, he is going to bring the people out of the darkness and informed that if elected he will use the method that he used while serving as the FCT Minister in order to change the fortunes of Bauchi and take the state to greater heights.
According to him, if elected, his administration will tackle the menace of Sara-Suka (political thugs) in the state, saying that they will not only be rehabilitated but also be provided employment for them to make meaningful contributions to the society.
“We will rehabilitate the youth by way of provision of a job for them to end Sara-Suka. What brings Sara-Suka is lack of job,” Senator Mohammed stated.
While speaking on local government administration in the state, the PDP candidate stated that if elected, local government autonomy will be addressed, adding that his administration will conduct local government elections and declared that his administration will work with President Muhammadu Buhari with a view to bringing development to Bauchi State.
He declared that he will not lead a government of opposition but one that will work for hand in hand with the Buhari-led Federal Government for the betterment of the lives of the people of the state and stated that in line with President Buhari zero tolerance for corruption, his administration will fight corruption in the state.
