I will be the first to pay N30k minimum wage before May 29th ― Bindo

During this year’s workers day celebration, the executive Governor of Adamawa state, Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo has approved to the workers of the state N30 thousand minimum wage and assured to be the first to pay before May 2nd,2019.

Jibrilla while delivering his “last speech” said he is a proud outgoing Governor who is happy to have ended his tenure without incurring salary problem with the workers in the state.

He stressed that once the federal government finish gazetting the national minimum wage he will be the first to pay before vacating office May 29th.

Bindo revealed his administration has never borrowed a “kobo” to do any capital project but borrowed to augment recurrent expenditure (Salaries).

“I never borrowed a kobo to do any capital project, we only borrow to augment salary, I have paid your salaries up to update, no salaries arrears I have not paid,” Bindo said

“May God continue to bless the people of Adamawa state.” He prayed

The Chairman of the state Labour Union NLC), Comrade Emmanuel Fashe in his speech called on the state government to consider training and retraining of state civil servants for optimal productivity.
