Tell us a bit about yourself…
I’m from Okene, Kogi State, but born in Ibadan. I attended Carver College in Georgia studying Business Administration. I come from a family of three. I’m the last born. My father is a retired custom officer, my mother is a chef for an airline in America. I was in the United States for six years until months ago when I came back. It feels good because I’m back to show my talent and give my fans hits with my sound being special and unique. I am independent, the name of my record label is OT records managed by Sóró entertainment. Prince Temilade Adewuyi is handling my promotions, shows and management.
What inspired you to become a musician?
What inspired me to be a musician was growing up watching and listening to musicans like Fela, Sammy Okposo, DBanj, Shaba Ranks. Also, whenever I sing, it makes me feel free.
I’m willing to seek more fund for infrastructure ― Buhari
What kind of music do you do?
I do Afro Pop, I also add my own signature style by rapping and singing. I do it because it lets me connect to my roots and still helps be able to be opening minded.
What challenges have you faced?
People not believing in me, also, me not having confidence in my voice. I’m overcoming them by being myself and feeling free to create whatever comes out my mind and spirit
What do you hope to achieve with your music?
I hope to achieve a lot with my music because I’ve put a lot into it, especially with my sound. It’s new and besides we are going into a new decade.
Tell us about your songs?
‘Burst my brain’ is the first song I recorded. It’s a freestyle and it was the first day I met my producer, Matz. Five minutes to meeting him and we are already recording. Since then, he’s has been the one producing my songs. The songs talks about all beautiful brown skin girls around the world.
‘Fire me love’ is the second song I’ve ever recorded. The song was also produced by Matz and I really took my time making it because I won’t say it was challenging but it demanded all my attention. I was singing about the last girl I fell for. I wanted 101 per cent of her love but she was a busy person.
