2018 has been a good year for Alter Plate boss, Harrysong. From releasing hit songs back to back to hosting a sold-out give back concert in Warri, Delta State a few weeks back, the fisherman-turned singer has every reason to keep thanking God for the good moments.

The aura surrounding him did not come on the platter of gold as he had weathered through troubled moments in his career in the last two years. But from the look of things, the Warri-born singer always comes out of every difficult moment by putting a new song on the lips of his fans for standing by him.

From Reggae Blues to Under the Duve to Samankwe and now Selense, those who have paid attention to Harrysong’s career, over the years, believe that his decision to dump fishery in Delta for music has begun to pay off.

Asked what he thinks about his career at the moment, the songwriter cum singer said he wants to keep living every moment as it comes. “I have had it rough but I am not the type that likes to dwell on the past. Nothing is strong enough to stop a man who never looks at how he falls but learns from what keeps him going,” he enthuses.

His latest song, Selense is regarded by many music lovers, especially loyal fans as another major breakthrough for the former member of the Five Star Music group. From the moment Selense was released, more accolades have continued to trail the Samankwe singer.

His response to the success of Selense is a strong indication that the Harrysong is in the business for real. “I am always looking at how I can be better in my craft. I don’t look at what this person or that person is doing, I just want to be the better version of myself and keep my fans happy. I am not in this music business to joke, I am here to make every moment count,” he said.

Harrysong teamed up with Reekado Banks and KizzDaniel to deliver another masterpiece to his fans in what has been described as a move that confirms his firm dominance on the music scene.

Speaking on his decision to have Reekado and Daniel on the new track, Harrysong hinted that music has its rhythm and one must follow it religiously to bring out the best all the time.

“For me, it is about who can follow the rhythm of the song and deliver what I project. Reekado and Daniel are two talented acts whose understating of music is deep and they fit that role very well.”
