I want my music to bring comfort to those who need it most — Minister Osaye

In this short interview, gospel music minister, Osaye Embarking talks about her career as a gospel musician and her latest single, “My Testimony”.

Minister Osaye, your journey into gospel music is quite remarkable. Can you share with us how your upbringing influenced your passion for music?

Absolutely. My love for music stems from my upbringing in a faith-based family. Growing up in Benin-City, Nigeria, I found immense joy and solace in expressing my spirituality through song, particularly in the church choir at Benin United Baptist Church.

Your latest single, “My Testimony”, has been making waves. What inspired the creation of this song?

“My Testimony” is a song deeply rooted in gratitude and faith. It’s a reflection of my personal journey and the countless blessings I’ve received along the way. Every lyric is a testament to God’s unwavering presence in my life, and I hope it resonates with listeners, inspiring them to embrace gratitude in their own lives.

Your perseverance in the face of challenges is truly inspiring. How have you managed to overcome obstacles on your path to becoming a gospel singer?

Thank you. Overcoming obstacles has been a testament to my faith and determination. I’ve learned that setbacks are not roadblocks but rather stepping stones to growth. Each challenge I’ve encountered has strengthened my resolve to pursue my calling and spread messages of hope and encouragement through my music.

Your music is often described as a source of strength and inspiration. How do you hope your songs impact listeners?

My ultimate goal is for my music to touch hearts and uplift spirits. I want my songs to serve as a beacon of hope for those going through tough times, reminding them of God’s love and grace. Through my music, I aspire to positively impact lives and bring comfort to those who need it most.

As you continue on your musical journey, what message do you hope to convey to your audience?

I want to convey a message of unwavering faith and resilience. No matter the challenges we face, there is always hope to be found in God’s love. My music is a reflection of this belief, and I hope it serves as a reminder that with faith, anything is possible.

Thank you, Minister Osaye, for sharing your inspiring story with us. Your dedication to spreading messages of hope through your music is truly commendable.

Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure to share my journey with you, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my music as a means of spreading positivity and faith.
