Dear Worried Boy,

As long as you are not basing your proposal on infatuation or fantasy, there will always be a way out for you. Talking to a girl of your dream will just come naturally.

It is not an assignment that you have to study hard to pass. What gives you the impression that you are in love with the girl in your church? You should know that asking a girl from your church as a date is not just for the asking sake. Do your Arithmetic well before you go ahead.

What if you are the only one interested and she is not? What becomes of your reaction towards each other after you might have called a spade a spade?

If you are totally convinced that she has mutual feelings for you as you have, just ensure that you sincerely seek audience with her at your next youth programme without any pretence that you want her to be your girlfriend or lover as it is applicable.

Falling in love with a girl in your church demands some measure of discipline if both of you are born again Christians. You cannot afford to treat each other as unbelievers do. It will be better if you start knowing each other initially as friends before you go to the next level.

A relationship can only be established by being interested in the affairs of each other especially your progress academically. You cannot expect a girl you have never shown any interest in her future to develop either platonic or amorous feelings towards you.

Ensure you understudy her to know when she is in the right mood to listen to you and don’t try to impress her by being too loud and wanting to be in control of your discussions at all times. Learn to listen to her. By the time you give her the opportunity to express her mind then the scene is rightly set for your goal.

If you must make a success of your proposal you must not attempt to want to sleep with her that same day.
