Leke Adeboye’s purported comment which went viral, detailed: “If you are in Osun and you voted for APC, to be honest, and this is being neutral o, you are a fool.
“The government of APC didn’t pay salaries for over two or three years. Apart from the train, what did you gain from the last three years? And please don’t tell me they built roads, that’s a standard.”
Adeboye, however, told TribuneOnline that he neither made such statement nor posted anything related to such comment on his social media handles.

He said: “I have gotten a few calls and messages today (Monday) saying I’m trending on social media because someone claimed I posted up my view on the current elections in Osun State. All those claiming I posted up on my Instagram that APC are fools lied against me. Even, I immediately went to check my Instagram story (@lekeAdeboye) handle, in fear that I have being hacked, because the only message I posted is a prayer for the new week we are about to go into.
“I want people to make their verifications and even check the whole page and confirm if there is anything relating to that. Don’t let fake news be the order of the day in our beloved country. I am not a politician and I do not belong to any political party. In fact, I did not participate in the election, so, why would I have condemned anybody or party over the election. I want to categorically inform the general public that I never made such statement or anything relating to that,” he added.
