Having ruled the airwaves in 2017 with hit songs such as Hellelujah, Cooking pot, Call the Police, and a couple of others, Orezi described his new song as a ‘Sugar Daddy’ jam, aimed at making people dance.
Produced by Mystro, Orezi said he was only trying to make a song that people could dance to relate with, insisting that dropping the song in the second month of the year was part of his plans to start 2018 on a sound note.
Speaking with R on the choice of Tekno, Orezi said he loved the works of Tekno and that they had always talked about making a song together.
“Tekno and I have always talked about making a song together but engagements have kept the dream till this time. I am happy now that we have finally done it and people are showing the song so much love,” he said.
The song begins and ends with a pleasant harmonisation between the two superstars. The up-tempo song blends afrobeat and dancehall sounds while Tekno’s verse introduces igbo highlife vibes that will surely get people dancing.
