DESPITE being relatively new in the media space, especially in the online space, the management of newly-launched premium news and fun content application, Scooper, said it had been able to grow the app’s subscriber base to over 3 million, within two years, a development it attributed to continuous innovation offerings.
Speaking over the weekend in Lagos at the announcement of the application’s new offers and rewards for its subscribers, the company’s Head of Marketing, Nancy Nwachukwu also described the company’s ability to grow the subscriber base of the application in less than two years of its debut to over 3 million, as a sign of its rising popularity among Nigerians and others, desirous of information and news on the go.

She disclosed that since making its debut in June 2017, the application’s subscriber base had grown from 2100 to a currently installed figure of 3,881,268 subscribers.
The premium news and fun content app, which formally announced its debut with the promise of ‘More Than just News’, aggregates latest news stories and fun contents from across the globe.
“Scooper aggregates content from diverse areas of interest. Scooper app users can explore up to date news in categories such as politics, lifestyle sports, business, tech, human interest stories and opinion articles, while the app is also a great platform for fun videos, gifts, quizzes and other branded contents,” she explained.
Nwachukwu noted that some of the unique features of the app include, a stack of novels from where interested can download some novels, live commentaries and previews of matches and also a reward for reading.
