How to slay on low budget

The concept of dressing classy, glamorous, slaying without breaking the bank is an illusion to some women.

Many feels wearing designer label means classy or being fashionable. This is absolutely not true.  Whatever you See on the runway, in magazines is achievable without emptying your wallet.

Here are some tips for achieving that great look you desire. Be it corporate, casual or religious.

Set a budget

Determine how much you want to spend on clothing for each season – wardrobe allowance.  Please be committed to it

Shop your closet

It’s good to always take a stock of what you already have, egg colours – black, white, pink, red. Style – dresses, pant,  skirt, bubu, flat or heel shoes.  You might discover what you want to buy and what you have forgotten.

Write a list of what you want

This will serve as a guide so you don’t buy what you already have or overshoot your budget.

Do a mental check

Before buying a new blouse , skirt,  pant, it is important you do a mental check of your wardrobe to know if the new items will match at least two or four items you already have.  If not, it doesn’t worth the cash.

Mix n Match

On the other hand if you really want to buy the new item, and it doesn’t match the ones you have, ensure the new ones can  mix and match easily.  You can achieve this with neutral colours

Basics for work

Keep basics that are truly timeless and will last the test of time and fashion trends. Such as dress, pant, skirt in  colours like black, white and gray. Having these  three colours will be perfect

Accesorise well

Do justice to that outfit with cheap but beautiful accessories such as Scarves, earrings, shoe, belt, head cover such as turban, brooches, necklaces. The idea is to dress up your wardrobe in many different classy ways without taking a loan.

Have patience

For an item you really love to have, you can give it time. Many shops will soon display some of these items for sales on a lower price, discounted. By that you are able to buy at the same time save some money no matter  how small.  While still looking great.

Some shops sell beautiful and durable dresses, skirts, pant for as low as N5,000 It makes a lot of sense to search for such stores/shop on the social media such as Facebook, Instagram Shopping from such stores enables savings.
