How to rock the Colours of Christmas

Published by

Christmas is almost here and everyone is getting into the mood of the season. One of the ways to get into the Yuletide season is to wear the colours of Christmas.

Traditionally, red and green are seen as the colours of Christmas. While that is true, the colours may not work fine for everyone. For the male gender, the ‘traditional’ colours of Christmas seem to put a restriction on the kind of outfit that can be worn.

Here are a few ways to dazzle in the colours of Christmas this lovely season.

The ladies Go with white

While it is not classified as a traditional colour of Christmas, white is a natural colour and you can’t go wrong with it. White gowns or skirt for the ladies would be just fine, a palazzo would dig it too.

Shimmering dresses are in Vogue

A lot of ladies love being daring and bold, a shimmering dress is definitely the right choice of clothing for such. You would want to pair the dress right with fashionable heels. You should keep all the glittering to one fashion article only.

Lace and Leather

A stunning combination that will have heads turning this Christmas season is the combination of a lace blouse and a leather skirt. You can have it your own way by incorporating the lace into a leather gown. It’s up to you to choose the colour you want; white or red should do the magic.

The gentlemen Suit has it

If you are attending a formal Christmas party, your suit can come to your rescue. You could simply wear a white shirt, a green or red tie or pocket square andyour dark colour suit. You can even throw in some fancy lapel pin; the rules of accessory matching still apply though.

Turtle neck and leather

Another way to get in the Christmas groove is to wear a turtle neck on a trouser and a leather jacket. This style can be practical in that you step out looking stylish and you also get shielded against the harmattan winds.

Red and green still has it

It doesn’t matter what you are wearing, the visual impression of Christmas remains red and green. Do not forget to work these colours into your dressing. Take careful effort not to overdo it too. Keep within the limits of decency.
