Explaining how the suspects walked into the police net, he said: “We have launched an aggressive patrol in the Orile Agege area and have created a pin-down patrol point as we identified the area as a flashpoint notorious for criminal activities.

“We were able to arrest seven initially and recovered three firearms, a woman’s handbag, cutlasses and knife from them while we arrested three more to make a total of 10 suspects so far arrested.

“They are responsible for robbery activities in that axis, including the case you are talking about.”

The police spokesman explained that the police were able to make a large catch because they deployed a Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives to support the patrol team earlier deployed in the flashpoint from the Elere Police Division under the jurisdiction where the crime was committed.

He said the suspects are helping the police in their investigations and that the command would do all humanly possible to get to the root of the matter and also flush criminal elements out of Lagos State.
