How Nkechi Blessing’s marriage crashed

It is no more news that the once celebrated union between controversial actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday and erstwhile husband, Opeyemi Falegan has crashed with both parties blasting each other on Instagram.

While Nkechi and Falegan have continued to trade blames on what led to the crash of their marriage, R gathered that the union has always been fraught with issues ranging from misunderstanding, lack of trust to dishonesty.

As the marriage break-up tales continue to flood social media platforms with Nkechi and Falegan throwing caution to the wind and tearing into each other, R gathered the marriage may have crashed due to infidelity.

With one party blaming the other for the break-up that has continued to dominate discussion on social media platforms for almost a week, it became clear at the weekend that the actress had endured some turbulent times while she remained in the union.

Her revelations about the fake lifestyle of her estranged husband caught many people unawares as no one saw the break-up coming given the fact that the former lovebirds were usually celebrating their love affair on social media platforms, as with Nkechi always flying to London to be with her man.

On Friday, United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) called out the actress over alleged fraudulent donations drive by the couple, warning unsuspecting people not to fall victim. Nkechi was quick to dissociate herself from the post, saying she had always known that something was not right about her ex’s foundation.

Nkechi who took to her Instagram account to debunk news flying around that she was dumped by her husband, said she walked away from the union after rumours emerged that her husband walked away from their marriage.

While the union, which started in 2021 after Nkechi posted pictures of their traditional marriage on Instagram lasted, she was constantly hyping her man who is based in London.

In a video that trended on Instagram Wednesday evening, Falegan who is also a politician, claimed that he would not want to be seen with Nkechi, whom according to him is notorious for not being ‘faithful’ to him. He added that Nkechi is only into his life for his money and sex.

He said he had a foundation that takes care of the widow and underprivileged, a foundation he floated after the demise of his father, adding that Nkechi almost finished the foundation’s funds.

Nkechi fired back saying she walked away from the marriage for reasons best known to her. The actress also berated the politician, accusing him of hypnotising girls and deceiving them with fake lifestyle.

Speaking in the wake of the break-up, Nkechi said she felt relieved to have left her husband, using expletives and insisting that she would not want to remain in a relationship with a man who lives a fake life and lacks financial strength to take care of her.

“You want to turn me to a berger(sic) cos of your useless Foundation that you don’t have money to run. Who begs for money to help others? If you no get, go and rest (sic),” she added.

The union it was learnt started having issues when Nkechi completed her house in Nigeria as her husband stayed away from the house warming.

The union produced a son.
