I want to know if HIV can be spread by sharing towels and other personal effects with an HIV-positive person. Let me also know what other ways HIV can be spread. Thanks

No, you cannot get HIV from sharing towels and other personal effects with someone who has untreated HIV. HIV can only spread through specific bodily fluids such as blood, semen and other body fluids which luckily don’t survive long outside the body. The above named transmissions can only be possible through a cut in the body skin or membrane that will allow the movement of the HIV into the blood stream.
