A co-founder of Inkblot Production Company that produced the widely streamed movie ‘Wedding Party’, Chinaza Onuzo, has disclosed that his thought on storytelling birthed the movie production company.
Chinaza explained that his group of friends validated the idea when it was introduced to them; the movie-making company.
He made this exclusively known to Saturday Tribune Entertainment in an interview held recently in Lagos.
He stated that he had been crazy about movies like every young person while growing up as he was used to watching Nigerian movies, Hollywood, Bollywood and Hong Kong.
“Of course, It was never seen as a career but one of your hobbies or passion.
As I build up my career say four or five years into it, I was like on the side let us start thinking if there is an opportunity here to say there are stories we want to tell.
“So, I gathered a few of my friends and said do you want to do this? And they said yes. So, that was how Inkblot was born
“Like almost every young person, I was crazy about movies. Since I was a kid growing up, I watched pretty much everything such as the Nigerian film, Hollywood American films, Bollywood films, Hong Kong Martial Arts, Hong Kong Action Films,” he said.
The Founder noted that the company is ten years old with sixteen movies since inception.
“We have been doing this for about 10 years and we have made about 16 movies since inception
Meanwhile, Onuzo said he would have become a doctor because his parents were doctors but the passion got changed in the growing up phase.
“I was the second of four children. I grew up in a family where both parents are doctors.
“So, I was sure that I would like to be a doctor when I was young but the passion got changed in the growing up process,” he said.
