How former President Shehu Shagari died before his 94th birthday

Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari is dead. The former president who will be 94 come February 2019, died at the National Hospital in Abuja on Friday evening.

According to the family source, the grandson of the former president, Nura Mahe, who disclosed this to Tribune Online at his house in Sokoto, said he was pronounced dead after a brief illness in Abuja.
The former president fell sick on Tuesday, December 25, the Christmas Day and he was taken to the hospital for medical attention where he eventually gave up around 6:30 pm on Friday.
He, however, revealed that his remains will be brought back to Sokoto on Saturday for burial.
