Two housekeepers, who allegedly stole two bedspreads and a pair of trousers belonging to a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police (name withheld), were on Wednesday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

The accused’, Olarewaju Lamilokun,20, and Francis Abogunrin, 28, live in Yusuf Estate, Alakuko, a Lagos suburb and they are facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.

Prosecutor Eruada Victor told the court that the accused committed the offences at their employer’s residence on Jan. 14.

The offences contravened Sections 285 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The duo pleaded not guilty to the charges.
