Hoodlums raze residence belonging to ex-Assembly aspirant, Olaojo’s father in Ekiti

Some unidentified political thugs have set the residence of the father of ace politician, Olaojo Temitope Vincent, on fire.

Vincent is a former Ekiti House of Assembly aspirant for Oye I constituency who clashed with party leaders in his bid to clinch the ticket of the party as a state legislator.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday night, May 19, 2023, in Irona Quarters, Oye-Ekiti.

Recall that on April 13, 2023, Hon. Fabiyi, an ex-House of Representatives aspirant, alleged that some political thugs loyal to Olaojo Temitope Vincent attacked his residence, leading to the killing of one domestic staff member.

An eyewitness identified as Kayode Ilesanmi narrated that the thugs invaded Olaojo’s house and started destroying valuables belonging to the occupants before setting the house on fire.

Kayode, who is also a resident of the area, also disclosed that the thugs came with fuel, foam, cutlasses, and axes. 

They looted some properties and equally made video footage of the compound and dragged a woman known as Mama Kemi, who was the only tenant in the building at the time of the attack, a rather sad Kayode said. 

Another eyewitness, known only as Dolapo, revealed that the thugs were threatening to plan more atrocities and destroy more properties owned by him or his family if Hon. Vincent did not cease interfering in local politics through his political crony, Ige Adebayo who jostled for APC House of Assembly tickets in 2023, now that he was abroad.

As of the time of filing this report, firefighters were yet to arrive at the scene, but the police had dispersed the thugs.
