Suspected hoodlums on Monday murdered a 27-year-old man identified as Toriola Tobi, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the victim was attacked and killed by the hoodlums following a scuffle between him and yet-to-be-identified persons.
The incident, according to an eyewitness happened at about 1900hrs when the deceased said to be walking alone along a secluded street, in Isokan Estate, behind the Premier Grammar School area of the town.
The incident was reported at the Ilupeju Divisional Police Headquarters, in Sabo, for further investigation into circumstances surrounding the crime.
The identity of those behind the crime was still unknown, while a full investigation had commenced on the directive of the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamatu.
Alamutu directed every intelligence to be deployed to ensure the fleeing suspects were apprehended.
The CP called for the cooperation of members of the public to volunteer credible information that would expose those behind the killings.
