The U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) were honoured with an exclusive screening of the movie, 93 Days on Friday, 2nd September 2016. in its Hubert H. Humphrey Building, Washington DC
In attendance were Hollywood actors, Danny Glover (Played Dr Ohiaeri) and Tim Reid (Played Dr Sam Adeniyi Jones), Kemi DaSilva-Ibru, Associate Producer 93 Days, producers/executive producers of 93 Days, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dotun Olakunri, Steve Gukas and other dignitaries such as Jimmy Kolker, Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs HHS, Dr Benjamin Ohiaeri, Owner First Consultant’s Hospital, Dr Sam Adeniyi Jones, Director Office of Global Affairs HHS, Dr David Brett-Majors, US Department of Defense and Former WHO expert, Kent Brantly, American Ebola survivor, Dr Morris Ibeawuchi, Nigerian Ebola survivor, Bockari Stevens, the sierra Leonean Ambassador to the US, Denas Morris, Center for Disease Control, Elizabeth Sadove, US Food and Drug Administration, Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Amanda Jacobsen, US Department of State.
Joined by other officials from the White House, the screening received an impressive turnout as guests enjoyed and commended the phenomenal masterpiece that has been created by talented actors, producers and director in Nigeria.
During the question and answer session, the producers of 93 Days discussed the motivation behind the movie and how Nigeria is delighted to its story to the world through.
Directed by Steve Gukas, the powerful movie is a compelling story of courage, determination and sacrifice as displayed by the team at the First Consultant Hospital, the Nigerian Government and well-meaning organizations in combating the Ebola virus that broke in 2014.
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), widely recognized for showing the most outstanding films from around the world, has selected 93 Days for screening this at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto, Canada this week.
Showing in cinemas nationwide from 16th September 2016, 93 Days is definitely a must-see and a movie that signifies a major landmark in the history of Nigeria.
