Mama HID Awolowo, who was Yeye Oodua of Yorubaland, joined the saints-triumphant on September 19, 2015, a few days to her centenary birthday.
To mark the anniversary of her transition, a thanksgiving service will be held at the HID Awolowo Anglican Church, Ewuga, Sagamu, Ogun State, at 10:00 a.m.
The church, which was built from takings at a synod of the Remo Anglican Diocese single-handedly hosted by Mama HID, was named after the matriarch in fond memory of her dedication to God’s work.
All roads are expected to lead to the church for the patronal service.
