Help me beg other aspirants to leave the contest for me ― Bafarawa

A presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has begged other aspirants to leave the contest for him, said he would be fair and just to all.

Speaking to delegates, supporters and stakeholders of PDP in Gusau, the state capital, Dr Attahiru Bafarawa also appealed to Zamfara delegates to assist him in begging other aspirants to support him.

He mentioned that he joined the presidential race after much consultation with party elders both at the states, zonal and national levels with such people as General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau retired among other personalities.

According to him, he was doing politic particularly presidential race, not because of what he would get, but to serve people of this country.

“I appeal to you to help me beg other aspirants to leave the race for me, I promise I will be just and fair to all.”

Bafarawa who was optimistic of full support from Zamfara delegates maintains that he is not afraid of the primary even if it going to be now.

The PDP presidential aspirant Attahiru Bafarawa who recalled back his days as Sokoto state governor said as a result of his prudent management of people’s resources, he left twelve billion naira (N12b) in the state account.

He further stated that as Governor for 8years, he never collected salary, he forfeited his monthly take home to the endowment of needy people in the state.

Earlier on, In his will come to address the Zamfara state PDP chairman Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha revealed that political calculations in the country will not be complete without mentioning Dr, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa.

He reiterated their party support to the aspiration of Bafarawa added that Zamfara remains one of the strongholds for him, “PDP supporters remain loyal to you at all the time, sir feel free you’re at home.”
