The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), is grateful to God and rejoiced with the Federal Government and the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for surviving a helicopter crash in Kabba, Kogi State, Saturday 2 February 2019.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant (Media and Communications) to CAN President Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, CAN prayed that God continues to spare his life.
“We give glory to God for sparing the life of the Vice President and his team from the helicopter crash while mobilising support for his party in preparation for the coming general elections.
“We recalled that he had similar experience last year while visiting the Nigeria Customs College in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
“It is our prayers that God will continue to watch over him and other top government functionaries in Jesus’ Name.
“We urge the technical team or those responsible for the certification of the aircraft and helicopters for use by the government officials to be more meticulous so as to avoid putting the lives of the users in danger.
“May God continue to watch over our leaders and the rest of us in the name of Jesus,” the statement added.
