Heineken celebrates rise of Afrobeats with Afrozons Pre-Grammy party

Heineken has announced its sponsorship of the highly-anticipated Afrozons African Pre-Grammy party as a part of its grand 150th-anniversary celebration at a media briefing today, January 26, in Lagos.

Hosted by the dynamic Sheila O (Grammy Academy Member)the pre-Grammy event promises an evening of Afrobeats celebration.

An integral aspect of this celebration will be the heartfelt recognition of music legends Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Femi Kuti. Their influential contributions to music have earned them Grammy nominations, making them iconic figures across the African music industry. Notably, the AfrozonsAfrican pre-Grammy party also celebrates the new Grammy category, ‘Best African Performance’.
