Health foundation, others donate relief materials to Anambra flood victims

AS part of efforts to make sustainable living a commonplace, an Abuja base health foundation, Bright Vision Health Foundation (BVHF), in conjunction with the Church of Latter-Days Saint Charities has complemented government efforts at relieving people affected by the recent flooding in Anambra state.

The charity foundations demonstrated this through the donation of products to the people of the state at the headquarters of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in Awka, the Anambra state Capital.

The BVHF team led by Ambassador Adaobi Dozie, the company’s Chief Executive Officer was accompanied by delegates from the Church of Latter-Days Saint, other members of staff and key distributors. They met with the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke, and SEMA officials to take a tour around the facility before making their donations.

The donation which comprised daily essential needs such as body creams, toothpaste, matrices, health amenities for nursing mothers, food items and other necessities were received with excitement and genuine appreciation by the Anambra government.

The Deputy Governor while receiving the gifts, thanked the company for the gesture, describing it as timely and most needed at their crucial period.

Ambassador Dozie in her response appreciated the officials of the agency for the warm reception and the opportunity given to BVHF to extend a hand at a time like this.

She mentioned that the NGO is committed to making a positive impact in many ways; through our humanitarian services, our operations and relations, through voluntary contributions, and various ways we engage with concern stakeholders.

Also present at the donation were Chief Tony Ike Isama, Special Adviser to the Senate President of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Health matters, Chief Paul Odenigbo, the Executive Secretary, Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, ASEMA, Mr. Peter Ezeigwe, the state president of Latter-Days Saint Charities, key distributor, among other witnesses.

The 2018 flood incident, according to the Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, affected thousands of people in 14 Local Government Areas of the State.

The donations of Bright Vision Health Foundation Nigeria to the people of Anambra will go a long way in complementing government’s efforts at bringing succor and relief to the affected beneficiaries, been a foundation for the sicks and vulnerable ones in the society.
