Hardship: Anambra farmers commend Tinubu over nationwide rice distribution

Anambra farmers under the umbrella of Young Farmers Association Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state have expressed happiness over the distribution of rice nationwide by President Bola Tinubu administration to reduce hunger in the land.

The distribution notice was contained in a release signed and made available to Journalists in Awka on Tuesday by the association Chairman/coordinator, Comrade Onyeka Igbomoji.

According to Igbomoji in the release, “I wish to Inform our members that the state governors had taken delivery of 20 truckloads of rice. That’s 20×600 bags of 50kg of rice which totals 12,000 bags per state.

“The federal government had earlier today informed Nigerians on the latest developments to reduce hunger in the country by making available food for the most vulnerable to cub the hardship recently witness.

“Knowing fully well that this alone will not eradicate the hunger in our state and local government, I urge our members to be steadfast in their farms as a means to reduce hunger within our territories.

“I also want to use this medium to extend our sincere regards to our Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Barr Chijioke Ozumba on a transparent onward distribution to meet the purpose of renewed hope agenda of Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
