Hajj 2024: NAHCON to airlift Zamfara pilgrims June 4

National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has proposed the 4th of June 2024 to start the airlift of intending Muslim pilgrims from Zamfara to Saudi Arabia as 1,718 were registered in the state.

This was disclosed on Tuesday evening by the Executive chairman Zamfara State Hajj Commission through the permanent commissioner in charge of enlightenment, publicity, and Da’awa Alhaji Iliyasu Buhari Maijega at the commission headquarters in Gusau.

Iliyasu Maijega disclosed that Planners Airline is the official airline that would transport Zamfara intending Muslim pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

According to him, arrangements were on top gear for the enlightenment of intending Muslim pilgrims who settled their Hajj fee in the state.

Maijega explained that the committee for the enlightenment of Muslim pilgrims on Hajj rules and regulations would soon start Da’awa and enlightenment campaign from local government to local government with zoning across the state.

“Already various committee were formed that included publicity, feeding, transportation and accomodation  committee’s for a successful Hajj operation from Zamfara state to Saudi Arabia to and fro.”

He further explained that the National Hajj Commission has proposed the 4th of June 2024 as date to start the airlift of Zamfara state Muslim pilgrims, which they welcome.

“The National Hajj Commission has proposed to us the 4th of June this year as starting date for the airlift of Zamfara Muslim pilgrims,but it’s subject to change by national Hajj Commission themselves,if there was any development with regard to airlift,” he said.

The permanent commissioner Maijega further revealed that intending Muslim pilgrims from Zamfara would have course to smile as decent accommodations were secured while at Holy Land in Saudi Arabia.
