Hajj 2024: Gov Bago gifts 200 Saudi Riyals each to Niger pilgrims

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has made a personal donation of 200 Saudi Riyals to each of about 3,000 pilgrims from the state as a special Sallah package to them.

The Governor, according to a statement issued and made available to Journalists by Abdulkadri Yahaya, one of the Media aides to the Senator representing Niger South Senatorial District in the National Assembly Abuja, Senator Paul Ndakikali Jiya, stated that the Governor made the donation when he paid a visit to the pilgrims in their tents at Muna commonly known as the city of Tents in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,  to interact with them, show love, concern and to inquire about their well-being in the Holy Land.

Governor Bago stressed that the donation was his gesture to ensure that the people effectively perform their religious obligation without a hitch.

The  Governor expressed gratitude to the pilgrims for their tenacity, and devotion to Allah while on pilgrimage.

He assured them of the state government’s commitment to their well-being during and after the pilgrimage.

The pilgrims, who were overwhelmed with joy, expressed their delights to the Governor for the gesture and prayed for the success of his administration.

Governor Bago was said to have been accompanied by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba; the Emir of Kagara and Niger State Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna II; member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Abuja, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdullahi,(aka SMA); Executive Secretary of the State’s Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu; and the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hajiya Binta Mamman; among others.
