GWR: Abidemi Praise set to break longest marathon drawing portraits

Abidemi Praise, the creative founder of the Biddyvegas art world, is set to embark on a remarkable journey to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Drawing Portraits. With a passion for arts since childhood, Abidemi has honed his skills in drawing, sewing, and acting over the years.

Abidemi Praise aims to break the existing record by continuously drawing portraits that are not only skilful but also relatable and accurately depict the subjects. “I challenged myself to dive back into my passion after almost four years of diversion due to relocation and settlement,” says Abidemi Praise, highlighting the personal motivation behind this endeavour.

The training for this monumental attempt has been ongoing for five months, with consistent drawing sessions to regain and refine skills. Abidemi plans to intensify preparations next month by dedicating 24 hours to drawing as part of the training routine.

Despite facing initial challenges in rekindling drawing skills after a prolonged hiatus, Abidemi’s determination and perseverance have prevailed. “With consistent drawing, I was able to reclaim my skills and prepare for this record-breaking attempt,” says Abidemi.

The record attempt is scheduled to take place in Sunderland, United Kingdom, where Abidemi Praise will draw for an extended period to surpass the current record. While the presence of official adjudicators from Guinness World Records is uncertain, witnesses will fill a logbook to validate the attempt alongside evidence.

Abidemi Praise draws inspiration from previous record-breakers like Hariom Kumar Singh from India, who set a record for the Longest Marathon Drawing Caricature. “Stay focused, you can do it!” advises Abidemi, offering encouragement to aspiring record-breakers.

Beyond personal achievement, Abidemi hopes to inspire others who may have put their talents on hold due to various circumstances. “This record is to bring me back on track and serve as a reminder that dreams are achievable with determination,” says Abidemi, reflecting on the significance of the attempt.

With faith as a guiding force and support from the community, Abidemi Praise is poised to make history and leave a lasting impact in the world of art.
