Suspected gunmen have released Seliat Raji, the abducted wife of Baale Koso of Iseyinland, High Chief Sikiru Adeniji, after spending six days in their custody.
Seliat, who is also a sister to an Iseyin-born legal practitioner, was abducted by the gunmen who operated on a motorcycle in her country home in Iseyin last Thursday.
Her security guard was murdered while trying to put up a resistance as well as secure the life of her boss.
The incident threw the entire community into mourning, especially the killings of the security guard
The Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command, had since then commenced an investigation into the heinous act.
On Tuesday, Seliat regained her freedom from the kidnappers’ den.

Confirming her release to the newsmen on the phone, the Baale Koso of Iseyinland, High Chief Sikiru Adeniji, said she regained her freedom around 2:00 am after the payment of ransom.
“Yes. They have released her after six days. She spent six days with them. They released her around 2:00 am today. On the ransom, yes but I don’t want to say anything about the ransom. She is currently at home but we will take her to the hospital soon for a medical check-up,” he stated.
