Gunmen kill vigilante, kidnap wife of traditional ruler, two children

Suspected Gunmen killed a vigilante and kidnapped the wife and two of the District Head of Kakruna, a community in Chikun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna state.

Findings gathered that the incident took place on Thursday night when the hoodlums stormed the residence of the traditional ruler.

Unfortunately it was gathered that the District Head miraculously escaped with one of his sons.

However his wife and the two other children were kidnapped by the hoodlums.

It was also gathered that during the attack, the gunmen shot dead one of the vigilante members.

As at the time of filing this report, the wife and two children were still under the den of their kidnappers.

A member of the community who pleaded for anonymity disclosed that they are yet to contact any of the family member or the ruler family.

The incident, our reporter learnt, caused anxiety among residents of the area who gathered in groups to discuss the sad incident.

When contacted, the spokesperson of Kaduna State Police Command, Aliyu Usman, said the command was yet to receive any formal brief on the incident.
