Gunmen kill Katsina MACBAN chairman, two others in Kusada

Gunmen have killed the Katsina State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeder Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Amadu Surajo, and two others in the Kusada Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The attack occurred on Saturday night when the assailants stormed the Mai Rana community in Kusada LGA.

According to sources, the gunmen also abducted two of the deceased’s wives and his daughter, an undergraduate student.

The bodies of the deceased have been buried in accordance with Islamic rites, as residents express growing concern over the violence in the area.

Katsina Police Command spokesperson, Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the incident, stating that police operatives swiftly responded and engaged the assailants in a gunfight.

The gunmen eventually fled, leaving behind one of their operational vehicles and one of the abducted wives.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Aliyu said efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the suspects.

He appealed to the public to provide any credible information that could aid in locating the criminals.
