Gunmen kidnap Zamfara Hisbah boss

GUNMEN have kidnapped the Chairman of Zamfara state Hisbah Commission, Dr Atiku Balarabe along Zaria /Kaduna highway, Kaduna state.

Reliable source told Tribune online that Atiku who left Gusau around 5pm was kidnapped on Wednesday night just some few kilometers to Kaduna.

‘We were together around 4.30pm and he told me he was on his way to Kaduna.  I wished him journey mercies, only this morning someone called to inform me about his abduction.

According to source, ‘we are not sure whether he was kidnapped alone or he was abducted with his driver because up till now we have not heard from the driver.

As at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the kidnappers are yet to reach to any of his family members or closed relations.

Attempt to speak to the Kaduna state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Aliyu Usman proved abortive as his GSM lines were not going through.
