Gunmen kidnap wife of Nigerian Railway Corporation MD

Findings have revealed that the wife of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Francisca Okhiria has been kidnapped in Benin, Edo State.

According to the report, Mrs Okhiria was trailed from Airport road by the hoodlums before being accosted at the entrance of her house in a deadly and violent manner.

The armed men who wore police uniform first opened fire severally before abducting her to an unknown destination. The daredevil kidnappers who were trying to get away with their victim shot and killed an innocent military man who was standing by the roadside.

Report revealed that the woman was taken through Airport road where the kidnappers stationed their boat at Ogba river.

As at press time, the kidnappers are yet to make any ransom demand. The police have already stepped up action to rescue the woman unhurt.

When Tribune Online put a call through to the phone of the NRC Managing Director, Engineer Fidet Okhiria, his phone was picked by someone else who stated that the MD cannot speak for now, and also pleaded that the NRC MD should be left in peace at the moment.
