Gunmen kidnap Anambra commissioner, wife in Kogi

Tension has gripped Anambra following the alleged kidnap of Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Agha Mbah, and his wife.

The couple was reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Kogi on Friday while en route to Abuja for the wedding of Governor Charles Soludo’s daughter, Lady Adaora Soludo.

The wedding, scheduled for Saturday in Abuja, has attracted top government officials and dignitaries from across the country. However, the kidnap incident has caused a standstill in government activities as aides and officials rush to Abuja to support the governor.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, for comment on the incident have been unsuccessful. The situation remains tense, with concerns growing for the safety of the commissioner and his wife.
