The Oyo State Secretariat in Ibadan was thrown into chaos on Saturday morning as individuals wearing military camouflage, suspected to be agitators, attempted to take over the State Assembly complex and the entire Secretariat.
Armed with weapons, they hoisted a flag within the Assembly premises and sought to occupy the entire Assembly.

Security personnel within the state secretariat called for backup, citing concerns about efficiently demobilizing the agitators.
Sporadic shots were fired as a combination of men of the Nigeria Police, Army, Amotekun personnel stormed the secretariat and overpowered the agitators.
