Guber poll: Voting begins in Ebonyi

In Ebonyi, accreditation and voting commenced at 9:00 am as people troops in their numbers at the polling units visited in Ebonyi North.

During a visit to Nwafia Oferekpe Polling unit 003, Tribune gathered that election was moving peacefully and security operatives were also found in the area to maintain peace and orderliness.

Also, during a visit to Udukwu Okimirim Polling unit 002, Enyanwu-Igwe ward, Izzi local Government Area of the State, there was a large turnup of voters in the area as it is the polling unit of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Francis Nwifuru.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after voting, 9: 39 Nwifuru, lauded the Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC) for the upgrade in Bio-modal Voter Accreditation System BVAS.

According to him, the upgrade showed that INEC prepared very well ” everywhere is calm as everyone is happy and no quarrelling. I am thanking INEC, security agencies and Governor ”
