THE Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, has resigned his appointment from the Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s cabinet to pursue gubernatorial ambition in the 2019 elections.

His letter of resignation was submitted to the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, on Monday, in Abeokuta.
Ashiru is one of the longest-serving cabinet member of the administration of Amosun.
The Ijebu-Ode born would be contesting the position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) having obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms from the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.
