Growing up, I had many talents, except music —Tolu Bells

International Afropop and Gospel-Juju musician, Tolu Bells has revealed that while growing up, music wasn’t one of the talents that he exhibited. The United Kingdom based liveband artiste, however attributed his foray into the music world to God and the efficacy of the power of prophecy in the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

Speaking with Friday Treat recently, the talented music entertainer explained that due to his versatile music style, he is able to comfortably entertain audiences with different cultures, tribes and languages regardless of race and age.

According to the Nigerian born music crooner, “I was born and raised in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State to a Christian family. As a kid with many talents, music wasn’t one of them while growing up. My foray into music entertainment is a testimony to the wonderful existence of God and efficacy of the power of prophecy in the Celestial Church of Christ,  where I received revelations that I would eventually be a popular musician abroad.”

On his music pattern, the snazzy entertainer elucidated that his audiences span across race, tribes, cultures and age because of his flexibility to sing different styles in a variety of genres

“As a versatile musician, my style of music is Afropop & Gospel-Juju with street fuji inflection. This is why I am able to comfortably entertain different cultures, tribes and languages regardless of race and age.

“Although it has not been all rosy without some hitches here and there. I can’t say my music career has not been without some tough challenges, but with prayers from my mother and supporters the ability to keep my head up and avoid distractions have further helped prove that I am a gracious child of covenant”, he explained.

A graduate of Lagos State University and Liverpool University, Tolu Bells admitted humbly that his education, exposure coupled with street orientation, have further helped him to be a man with many caps.

On projects that he is working on, the top rated UK based Afropop and Gospel-Juju music crooner stated that, “I am working on a few projects to make a bold statement in the global music stage with a view to making my fans proud.

“We are going to be hitting the airwaves with something spectacular very soon. All I can tell my fans is that they should keep their tabs on Tolu Bells and watch out for something big.”
