Groups commend ex-Minister Jamila Ibrahim for community development in Kwara

A coalition of sociopolitical groups in the country has commended the immediate past minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, for her contributions to human and community development across 193 political wards in Kwara state during her stay in office.

In a statement by members of the groups that include Dr Jamila Support Group, Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN) and Northern Youth Ambassadors of Nigeria, chairman and secretary of Dr Jamila Support Group, Hon. Mohammed Yakubu Dantala Kaiama and Hon. Abdullahi Lafiagi, respectively, said that history would be kind to her for her contributions across the 193 political wards in terms of
skill acquisition for youths and women, distribution of fertilisers for farmers, and supporting vulnerable people with palliatives across the state.

The people also said that the former minister sponsored some selected youths, picked across the state, for skill acquisition and further provision of working materials to the beneficiaries.

The state chairman and secretary of the Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN), Hon. Shehu Hassan Baa and Comrade Alasela, respectively, commended the commitment and youth emancipation of Dr. Jamila, saying that the beneficiaries of the historical event of the skill acquisition training held in Ilorin on February 18, 2024, would forever be grateful to her for securing a better future for them in various entrepreneurship.

Similarly, the Northern Ambassadors of Nigeria group, under its Chairman, Comrade Abubakar Abdullahi Patigi, and Secretary Elder Julius Abodunrin, have expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Dr. Jamila worthy of the prestigious position and thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (CON) for his unrelenting support and results-orientated leadership styles.

The groups, however, urged the duo of President Tinubu and Governor Abdulrazaq to reconsider Dr Jamila for another political position to further contribute and bring her expertise to the growth and development of Kwara state and Nigeria at large.
