Bello who is the Chairman of the Governing-Council of the group said the summit tagged ‘Yewa Education Summit’, would focus on topics such as roles of critical stakeholders in advancing education in Yewaland, funding and financing educational development in Yewaland, entrepreneurship and digital training pathways for youth development, a framework for career advisory and mentorship for Yewa youth, will equal aim at stemming the tide of school dropouts in border communities.

He explained that the summit had been slated to be held between April 15&16,2025, would make the education outlook in Yewaland at the same level with two other senatorial districts and even beyond.

Rahmon said the organisers are aware of the proximity of Yewaland at the Nigerian border with the neighbouring Benin Republic, as well as the state of inadequate teachers and infrastructure.

The former VC said, “The outcome of the summit will empower Yewa people to partner with government and other development partners in providing access to more improved, more inclusive and more equitable education and lifelong opportunities for all in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4.”

He, however, disclosed that the Summit slated to be held in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, will declared open by Governor Dapo Abiodun, while the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle will serve as the Royal Father of the day and Chairman of the opening session.
