Group organises leadership seminar for secondary school prefects

Published by
Established to advocate, educate and empower women and youth to achieve their full potential, the Women Advancement and Youth Research Foundation (WAYREFOUNDATION), a non-governmental organisation, has recently lived up to its purpose, by organising a leadership seminar for prefects in public secondary schools in Ikoyi/Obalende Local Development Area.
With the theme, ‘Building a Strong Leadership Foundation,’ the programme was aimed at equipping the student through capacity building, research and dissemination of information.
Facilitators of the event, Peace Adewole and Oriyomi Adesina spoke on Integrity and Decision Making in Leadership, while emphasis was laid on the importance of having integrity and adopting the steps to decision-making.
Leadership seminars would help with the next generation of leaders. The prefects appreciated the foundation and pleaded that the seminar should be extended to other students.
