General Coordinator of the group, Seyi Bamigbade, while speaking at the event, said Governor Ambode’s total dedication to duty coupled with the enormous developmental projects recorded under his administration as well as his desire to make the state a better place to live, had automatically earned him a second term in office.
While urging his colleagues to mobilise support for the governor to ensure he got re-elected into office in 2019, Bamigbade disclosed that Ambode as a trail- blazer and innovative forerunner had changed the state and taken it to a desirable elevation.
According to the General Coordinator of the group, winning the 2019 governorship election would enable Governor Ambode complete developmental projects, which he had already embarked on as well as complement the existing ones.
“We have been observing with strong concerns the generous administration of our governor. As a trail blazer and inventive leader, Ambode has taken our state to a greater height. Lagos has now become a reference point for other states in the country.
“We are also delighted to associate with his laudable achievements in making Lagos a prodigious economic center and an orientation idea for other states in the country. Let me state unambiguously that Ambode’s predecessors served eight years in office, and I say without any hesitation that he will also spend eight years,” he added.
President, Ndigbo Movement, Uche Kanu, who also spoke, assured that he would mobilise his people in Lagos to support the governor’s second term for the continuity of his selfless service to the people of the state.
On his part, a member representing Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Segun Olulade, urged the group to stand on the idea of selfless service and support the transformation agenda of Lagos State.
