Group hails Ondo lawmaker, Adefiranye, for quality representation

A group, Ondo Progressives has hailed the quality representation and devotion to duty of the lawmaker representing Ile Oluji Oke Igbo/ Odigbo constituency, Festus Ayodele Adefiranye.

Adefiranye, an engineer by training, currently serves as the lawmaker representing the Ileoluji Okeigbo/Odigbo constituency in the 10th National Assembly.

The group in a statement signed by the Coordinator, Mr Wale Adesina said the lawmaker is a man imbued with integrity, intellect, political sagacity and tenacity of purpose to touch lives and is committed to improving the lives of his constituents.

“In the various State Houses of Assembly and the National Assembly, many members merely warm their seats. For the former Assembly member in Ondo State, however, he has genuine reasons to be in the National Assembly, and the reason is to serve the good people of his Federal Constituency. He sees politics as a call to national service”

He said the lawmaker, Adefinranye is a highly cerebral figure and successful businessman who joined active politics to serve the common interest of the generality of the citizenry. He’s been giving his best shot and to God be the glory, he has done well so far.

“He did something remarkable on the 25th day of October 2023, he sponsored the Federal College Of Nursing and Midwifery, Oke Igbo, Ondo state establishment bill. The Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery Bill seeks to establish a school of Nursing and Midwifery in Oke Igbo, Ondo State to prepare competent, skilled, versatile and independent midwives, capable of providing high-level health care to individuals and expectant families in their homes, communities, hospitals, rural and urban health centers of the society, for optimal infant, maternal, family and societal.

“Nurses advocate for health promotion, educate patients and the public on the prevention of illness and injury, provide care and assist in cure, participate in rehabilitation, and provide support. No other healthcare professional has such a broad and far-reaching role. It seeks to offer more educational opportunities, most especially in the area of healthcare to the state and beyond.

“If service to the people is a major yardstick with which a politician’s role in the society should be measured, Hon. Adefiranye has surpassed expectations in his short stint. We need more of him in our body polity to make life meaningful for all,” the statement read.
