A Non-governmental organization called Youths Mobilization for Good Leadership in Nigeria has endorsed the candidature of Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma, in the forthcoming 2023 governorship election in Sokoto State.
Speaking while addressing newsmen at the NUJ press centre, Zuru road in Sokoto, the Vice President of the organization Faruku Umar Yabo, said the group which represents about 900,000 youths population in the state settled for the PDP candidate as the most qualified candidate for the position.
“As a detribalized Nigeria whose, age bracket, knowledge, experience and courage to explore and evolve new ideas towards tackling the socio-economic challenges bedevilling the state today, and possibly the future.
“The YMGLN decision and choice of the candidate of Sa’idu Umar, are based on his track records which include; prudent management of resources, being a commissioner of Finance, Secretary to the State Government, regional bank manager and most profoundly morally uprightness”
The group however called on the people of the state especially youths and women to come out en mass and cast their votes for the PDP candidate come March 18, 2023.
“The 2023 general elections indeed, are not about Aminu Waziri Tambuwal or Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma. It is about credibility and morality.
“It is about credibility against the imposition of candidates by force which outrightly violates the tenants of democracy and good governance” he added.
