Group endorses Buhari for second term

A group known as Buhari Youth Organisation, BYO, has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office.

The group which stormed Makurdi, Benue State capital yesterday told newsmen that there was no alternative to President Buhari.

The youths who organised a two-day conference in Makurdi applauded the anti-corruption crusade of the president which they said was a right step in repositioning the country to its past glory.

The national President of the organisation, Comrade Yusuf Nalado, x-rayed the policies and programmes of the President which included war against insurgency, the Treasury Single Account, TSA,  the reforms in the customs, Federal Inland Revenue Services, FIRS, the social investment programmes as well as liberalisation of the political space.

“The image of our dear nation has been enhanced around the world and Nigeria is slowly beginning to retake its pride of place among the coming of nations,” he said.

The national president maintained that the group was convinced that there is no candidate at this period that can match the credentials of Mr President and urged Nigerians, old and young, to support the Buhari re-election project for him to consolidate the successes so far made and reposition the nation for the future generation.

The group also commended Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom for his total support for the Buhari re-election project and threw their support for his re-election bid.

According to him,  ”we unequivocally support the 2019 re-election bid of Governor Ortom. This will enable him to continue with the good work he has started. Worthy of a very special note is the anti-open law that has come into effect in Benue. This law alone represents the future of Nigeria.”
