With the theme, “The Right To Peace”, the state coordinator called on the state government to put an end to the increasing social vices.

He said that the theme was apt considering the level of injustice and insecurity challenges in the states.

Iyare said that a sustainable environment is tied to issues that bother on justice and equity, noting that the group shared in the sentiments as exhibited by the United Nations.

He said: “It is a great honour and privilege that the UN is collaborating with the Aviary Club of Nigeria worldwide to celebrate the annual event.”

While calling for the strengthening of peace in the society, the coordinator of the socio philanthropic group stressed that a society ravaged by poverty cannot promote sustainable peace.
